About Us
Dr Ruth Ashbee holds a BSc (Hons) in Microbiology, a PhD in Microbiology/Immunology; she is a Fellow of the European Confederation of Medical Mycology (FECMM) and a UK HCPC registered Clinical Scientist (CS00067). Empeiros Ltd was establised by Ruth in 2022 after a varied career in academia, the NHS, her own previous consultancy business and some time in the pharmaceutical industry. She is passionate about mycology - teaching it to others, providing advice and insight into clinical and laboratory aspects or advising the pharmaceutical industry about antifungals and invasive fungal disease.
